The Austin, Texas, City Council voted Wednesday to purchase a hotel to house homeless people and is expected to add a second hotel next week. Texas Bungalows Hotel & Suites carries a price tag of $6.7 million, while Candlewood Suites, still under consideration, would cost $9.5 million.
