Hotel construction begins at Covington, Ga., complex

Officials have broken ground on a Residence Inn by Marriott in Covington, Ga., the first of three planned major hotels at the Town Center development. A Courtyard by Marriott and a Staybridge Suites are also on the way, with the three hotels combined valued at $100 million forming part of the $300 million Town Center project, according to Harry E. Kitchen Jr., president of developer The Foxfield Co.
