Hotel firm eyed to reopen Queen Mary in Long Beach, Calif.

The Long Beach, Calif., City Council may contract with a hotel management company to reopen and operate the Queen Mary’s hotel and array of other features. Evolution Hospitality would be paid $2.87 million in city funds under the proposed five-year deal involving the venerable vessel, which has been closed for repairs since 2020.
