Hunnu Air to Lease Two New E195-E2 Jets for Network Expansion

Hunnu Air has announced plans to dry lease two brand-new Embraer E195-E2 jets from an undisclosed lessor, with deliveries scheduled for April and October 2025. The expansion marks a significant step for the Mongolian carrier, enhancing its capacity and network reach.
The airline intends to deploy the E195-E2s on key tourist routes, including flights to Haikou and Sanya in China, and Phu Quoc in Vietnam. Additionally, Hunnu Air plans to expand services to Japan, China, and South Korea, currently operated on both scheduled and charter flights. The carrier is also preparing to introduce scheduled flights to Tashkent International later this year.
According to ch-aviation, Hunnu Air currently operates two Embraer E190s and one ATR42-500, serving routes from Ulaanbaatar to Almaty International, Beijing Daxing International, Manzhouli, and Ordos Ejin Horo. The introduction of the E195-E2 will make it the first of its type to be registered in Mongolia.
This fleet expansion aligns with Hunnu Air’s growth strategy, targeting increased passenger demand and regional connectivity. The addition of the E195-E2s, known for their fuel efficiency and enhanced range, will enable the airline to improve cost efficiency while expanding its footprint across Asia.
With larger capacity and modernized efficiency, Hunnu Air is positioning itself as a key player in Mongolia’s aviation sector, enhancing connectivity to major travel hubs.
