HX Launches All-Inclusive Expedition Cruises to Enhance Adventure Travel

HX, previously known as Hurtigruten Expeditions, is set to redefine adventure travel with the launch of its all-inclusive expedition cruises starting this fall. In a move aimed at enriching guest experiences and simplifying the booking process for travel advisors, HX will introduce the all-inclusive package across its entire portfolio by November, beginning with its Antarctic and Galapagos voyages in October.

This strategic shift towards an all-inclusive model is a direct response to feedback from both travelers and travel advisors, seeking a more streamlined and worry-free travel option. Alex Dalemere-White, HX’s Chief Commercial Officer, emphasizes the company’s commitment to simplifying the expedition experience, making it easier for travel advisors to sell and allowing guests to immerse themselves fully in the destinations they explore without concern for additional costs.

The all-inclusive offering by HX will cover an extensive range of services and amenities, including daily expeditions and activities, all dining options, a selection of beverages including beer, wine, spirits, and cocktails, as well as coffee, tea, and soft drinks. Additionally, Wi-Fi, gratuities, access to the onboard Science Center, fitness room, sauna, hot tubs, professional photographs, expedition gear, and a reusable water bottle will all be included in the cruise fare.

Delamere-White further explains the philosophy behind this initiative: “We want our guests to be curious travelers, focused on exploring and learning in the remote corners of the world we visit. Our all-inclusive expeditions ensure that adventure, knowledge-sharing, and high-quality service are part of the journey from the moment guests step onboard.”
