HX, previously known as Hurtigruten Expeditions, is introducing a new portal and online training program to better support travel advisors. This initiative is part of the company’s recent rebrand and aims to streamline the resources available to agents.

The newly launched portal, accessible at agentportal.travelhx.com, features updated brochures, one-pagers, webinars, and marketing materials. Designed to reflect HX’s new visual identity, the portal provides content exclusively focused on HX, ensuring that travel advisors have the most current and relevant information at their fingertips.

In the coming month, HX plans to enhance the portal with additional marketing materials and assets, including destination packs and selling guides. “We’re dedicated to equipping our valued agents and advisors with the tools they need to succeed in this growing sector and effectively promote HX,” says Sheralyn Berry, HX’s General Manager of the Americas.

Alongside the new portal, HX has launched a comprehensive one-hour online training program. This program comprises four interactive modules: Introduction to HX, Destinations, Sustainability, Science & Education, and Life Onboard. The training features shorter content segments and interactive quizzes designed to help travel advisors become more familiar with HX’s expedition cruises, thereby boosting their sales capabilities.

Advisors who complete the training will earn an OTT certificate and an accreditation logo. Additionally, those who finish the training by August 31 will be entered into a drawing to win a $150 gift.

HX also offers various other trade incentives. The company recently introduced HXplore, a monthly webinar series led by product managers that provides travel advisors with in-depth knowledge of the HX brand. By November, the series will include 11 recorded episodes available on the portal, covering a range of destinations and topics, including Antarctica, the Galapagos, and the benefits of expedition cruises.

This spring, HX launched a new B2B help desk line (1-866-312-6791), available from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. PST Monday through Friday, offering personalized support and offline assistance to travel advisors.

Additionally, HX is offering a 25% commission on all Galapagos bookings made by December 31, 2024, for sailings through December 31, 2025. Next month, HX will also host its largest FAM trip ever aboard its newest vessel, MS Fridtjof Nansen. Over 300 travel advisors will spend two days on the ship, sailing from Vancouver to Seattle, attending lectures and trainings, and gaining first-hand product experience. The event will also feature a meeting with Gebhard Rainer, HX’s new CEO.
