Hyatt Hotels Corporation, in partnership with Parks Hospitality Holdings (PHH), is set to revolutionize Mexico’s hospitality sector with the introduction of four new properties. Scheduled to open between 2024 and 2026, these additions will enhance Hyatt’s presence in key Mexican destinations such as Mexico City, Los Cabos, and Cancun.

This strategic expansion signifies Hyatt and PHH’s dedication to growth in Mexico, a market that has shown robust demand for Hyatt’s diverse and legacy brands. The new properties are designed to cater to both leisure and business travelers, offering a blend of personalized services, innovative food and beverage options, and versatile spaces for meetings and events.

Camilo Bolaños, SVP of Development for Latin America & the Caribbean at Hyatt, highlights the company’s intentional growth strategy in Mexico. This expansion is anchored in strong partnerships with owners like PHH, who share Hyatt’s vision of broadening its brand footprint to meet the evolving needs of guests, members of the World of Hyatt, and customers. Bolaños emphasizes Hyatt’s unique market position, bolstered by its size, scale, and diverse portfolio.

The upcoming properties, each distinct in their offerings, are:

  1. Park Hyatt Cancun (Opening 2025): Set to make its debut in Cancun, Park Hyatt Cancun will offer guests beachfront access and immersive culinary experiences. The resort will feature bars, lounges, and over 3,000 square feet of meeting space, including a 2,000-square-foot ballroom.
  2. Grand Hyatt Mexico Santa Fe (Opening 2025): As the first urban Grand Hyatt in Mexico and the second in the region, this 287-room hotel will provide 360-degree city views. Located in the mixed-use Distrito Santa Fe project, it will offer more than 10,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
  3. Grand Hyatt Los Cabos (Opening 2026): Positioned within the OLEADA Pacific Living & Golf private resort community, this 300-room hotel is just minutes from Cabo San Lucas and Los Cabos International Airport. Designed by SB Architects, it will feature a world-class 18-hole golf course, multiple dining options, and bars.
  4. Hyatt Place Cancun Airport (Opening 2026): Conveniently located near Cancun International Airport, this 156-room property will cater to both leisure and business travelers. It will offer contemporary design, spacious areas, and round-the-clock conveniences.

This expansion not only fortifies Hyatt’s commitment to Mexico’s burgeoning tourism and hospitality sector but also underscores its strategy to meet the high demand for varied and quality lodging options in the country.
