Hyatt Hotels has purchased the defunct Hotel Irvine for $135 million, completing the Irvine, Calif., owner’s departure from the hotel business. The 541-room hotel, closed by the Irvine Co. in 2020, will be reopened as a Hyatt Regency, the buyer says.
