Hyatt Centric, the lively hotel brand known for its vibrant design and contemporary style, is on track to open over 35 new hotels worldwide through 2028. With plans to exceed 100 hotels by 2029, Hyatt Centric is rapidly expanding its presence in key regions, including the Americas, Asia Pacific, Europe, and the Middle East.

This bold expansion comes as part of a strategic brand realignment within Hyatt’s Classics Portfolio. “Hyatt Centric serves as a fantastic addition to our Classics Portfolio,” said Emily Wright, Vice President, Global Brand Leader for Hyatt’s Classics & Essentials Portfolios. She added that the brand’s growth meets the rising demand from Millennial and Gen Z travelers for contemporary accommodations with playful details, sophisticated furnishings, and socially connected spaces. The brand emphasizes locally inspired art, engaging events, gallery exhibitions, and unique culinary concepts that set each property apart.

Strategic Growth and Design Focus

Hyatt Centric is recognized for offering immersive local experiences and a modern aesthetic that captures the spirit of each destination. This approach not only creates a unique guest experience but also supports the communities where the hotels are located. The brand’s commitment to local culture is evident in every property, from curated art collections to neighborhood-focused programming.

With significant momentum behind its growth strategy, Hyatt Centric is well-positioned to capitalize on evolving travel trends. Travelers today are seeking accommodations that offer more than just a place to sleep—they want to be part of the destination’s culture. Hyatt Centric’s design-driven concept, combined with its focus on guest connectivity and local experiences, makes it an attractive option for modern travelers.

Highlights in the Americas

Hyatt Centric’s expansion in the Americas is robust. In Chicago, the rebranded Hyatt Centric Chicago O’Hare is set to open in 2025, while Hyatt Centric Isla Verde San Juan debuts in Puerto Rico this year. Mexican travelers and visitors will soon have Hyatt Centric Querétaro, nestled in the historic zone of this vibrant city, available later this year. Downtown Cincinnati will welcome Hyatt Centric Cincinnati in 2026, and Canadian travelers can look forward to two new openings: Hyatt Centric Victoria — Old Town in British Columbia and Hyatt Centric Winnipeg Downtown, both arriving in 2026.

Expansion in Asia Pacific

The Asia Pacific region is a key growth area for Hyatt Centric. The brand will launch Hyatt Centric The Ring Chengdu in China in 2025, followed by several openings in 2026, including Hyatt Centric Bengaluru Airport and Hyatt Centric Electronic City Bangalore in India. Taiwan will see the fifth Hyatt hotel in East Taipei, and Shanghai is preparing for two new properties: Hyatt Centric Shanghai Jinqiao and Hyatt Centric TODTOWN, both opening in 2026. In addition, Hyatt Centric Tianxin Changsha in Hunan province, and Hyatt Centric Vrindavan in northern India, along with Hyatt Centric Sapporo—the first Hyatt Centric hotel in Hokkaido—are also set for a 2026 debut.

New Destinations in Europe and the Middle East

Europe will welcome Hyatt Centric Reims in 2025, ideally located near the Notre Dame Cathedral. The brand will expand into Germany with Hyatt Centric Altstadt Hamburg in 2026, and in Iceland, Hyatt Centric Reykjavik will open as the city’s first of its kind in 2026. Looking further east, Hyatt Centric Madinah KEC is slated to become the first Hyatt Centric branded hotel in Saudi Arabia, opening in 2028.

Hyatt Centric’s aggressive expansion reinforces its status as a forward-thinking brand. By blending local inspiration with modern luxury, the brand is poised to offer unparalleled experiences to a new generation of travelers in some of the world’s most popular destinations.
