Hyatt Hotels Rebrands Playa del Carmen Property to Hyatt Centric

Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced the rebranding of the Thompson Playa del Carmen Main House and Beach House into the new Hyatt Centric Playa del Carmen, set to reopen by the end of this year. The Hyatt Centric brand is known for its lifestyle offerings, aiming to take center stage in prime destinations worldwide.

Located in the heart of Playa del Carmen on La Quinta Avenida, a vibrant five-mile stretch known for shopping, entertainment, dining, and nightlife, the rebranded hotel will provide guests with easy access to the area’s top attractions.

The Hyatt Centric Playa del Carmen will feature both adults-only and family-friendly accommodations. The property will include 119 rooms and suites, with 92 designated as adults-only and 27 family-friendly options. The spacious suites will offer living rooms, balconies, and outdoor day beds or private plunge pools, ensuring a luxurious stay.

Guests seeking an adults-only experience can enjoy the Downtown House, which will feature a rooftop lounge and restaurant, UMI Urban Kitchen, alongside a pool area called Alessia Dayclub. This area will boast an infinity pool, swim-up bar, cabanas, and stunning views of the city and sea.

For families, the Beach House will provide a beachfront location complete with an oceanfront pool and the hotel’s signature C Grill, offering a perfect setting for relaxation and dining.

Hyatt Centric Playa del Carmen will also offer versatile outdoor and semi-outdoor event spaces suitable for weddings, retreats, and buyouts, enhancing its appeal for various gatherings.
