Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced the opening of Zélia Halkidiki, an adults-only luxury retreat and the first Destination by Hyatt branded property in Greece. Located in the scenic northern region of Halkidiki, the resort is surrounded by olive groves and pine forests and is just minutes from charming coastal attractions like Nea Moudania and Afytos Village, known for their traditional stone houses, fresh seafood, and panoramic views of the Toroneos Gulf.

Designed as a serene escape for travelers seeking relaxation and connection with nature, Zélia Halkidiki features 104 guestrooms and suites, all designed with natural materials and inspired by the local landscape. The interiors showcase a modern minimalist aesthetic, complemented by sweeping ocean views that immerse guests in the beauty of the surrounding environment.

The resort’s dining venues highlight Mediterranean flavors with an international twist, offering a mix of Greek, Japanese, and Peruvian fusion cuisine. Farm-to-table concepts, using produce grown in the resort’s own garden, ensure seasonal freshness across all menus. Guests can enjoy meals at the poolside restaurant serving traditional Greek dishes or explore diverse culinary options throughout the property.

Wellness is central to the Zélia experience, with facilities that include a heated indoor pool, jetted bathtub, sensory showers, and treatment rooms. Outdoor spaces feature two distinct pools: the tranquil Hebe infinity pool and the lively Zest pool. Daily yoga and Pilates sessions help guests unwind, while weekly “cinema under the stars” events set in the hotel’s olive grove add a unique cultural touch.

Peter Norman, Senior Vice President of Owner Relations EAME at Hyatt, noted that Zélia Halkidiki embodies the Destination by Hyatt brand through its celebration of Greek culture and natural beauty. He emphasized the opening as a major step in Hyatt’s European growth strategy, aiming to provide guests with immersive, authentic travel experiences in iconic destinations.

General Manager Giorgos Peroutseas said the hotel was curated to reflect the essence of Greek living, blending luxury with local heritage to offer a refined yet relaxed escape. Anais Karagianni of Zelos Capital Partners, the hotel’s ownership group, echoed that sentiment, expressing excitement about joining the Destination by Hyatt brand and delivering a memorable experience in one of Greece’s most idyllic coastal regions.

With its focus on experiential travel, regional authenticity, and wellness-driven amenities, Zélia Halkidiki is positioned as a standout retreat for discerning travelers looking to reconnect with nature and culture in a sophisticated, adults-only setting.
