Hyatt Hotels Corporation has entered into a management agreement with Anacaona de Inversiones to open its flagship Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana resort in the Dominican Republic by the end of 2025. This marks the second addition to the Hyatt Vivid brand, following its debut in Cancun, Mexico, in 2024.
The new 500-room resort is designed to cater to adult travelers seeking an enriching all-inclusive vacation experience that prioritizes flexibility over formality. Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana will feature locally inspired itineraries, experiential-driven programming, and amenities tailored to a modern, diverse set of guests. Facilities include an impressive spa, indoor and outdoor gyms, pickleball and tennis courts, and a juice and healthy snack bar. Additionally, the resort will offer four pools, swim-out rooms, and a quiet corner pool with its own wet bar.
Dining at the Punta Cana property will be diverse, with five specialty restaurants providing a range of casual and trendier options. Guests can enjoy meals at a sports bar, a barefoot beach grill & bar, and a speakeasy jazz club, among others. The resort will also include a convention center with a capacity of 1,000 guests, catering to both leisure and business travelers.
Antonio Fungairino, Head of Development for Hyatt’s Inclusive Collection, expressed enthusiasm about the expansion: “We are pleased to further strengthen the Hyatt Vivid Hotels & Resorts brand portfolio with Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana. Hyatt’s continued brand expansion in the region, from the sought-after beach towns of Playa Esmeralda, Punta Cana, Cap Cana, and beyond, reinforces the Dominican Republic’s status as a premier destination for high-end hospitality while reinforcing Hyatt’s leadership in the all-inclusive segment.”
Anacaona de Inversiones’ Investor Relations highlighted the strategic importance of the new resort: “The addition of Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana not only will strengthen Hyatt’s all-inclusive portfolio offerings in the destination but also meet the evolving needs of both loyal guests and new travelers looking for a fresh, modern resort experience in one of the Caribbean’s most desirable locations. As long-term investors in Punta Cana, we are proud to allocate capital into its highly dynamic hospitality sector with Hyatt.”
The launch of Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana aligns with Hyatt’s broader strategy to expand its all-inclusive resort presence in the Caribbean. Alongside recent openings such as Dreams Cap Cana Resort & Spa, a joint venture with Grupo Piñero, and upcoming resorts like Secrets Playa Esmeralda Resort & Spa and Dreams Playa Esmeralda Resort & Spa, Hyatt is set to increase its all-inclusive offerings in the region by approximately 30 percent in 2025. Additional properties, including Secrets Tides Punta Cana launched in January 2024 and Hyatt Centric Santo Domingo in October 2024, further solidify Hyatt’s footprint in the Dominican Republic.
Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana aims to provide guests with a blend of luxury, comfort, and cultural immersion. The resort’s design emphasizes aesthetics-inspired environments, ensuring a visually stunning and relaxing atmosphere. With a focus on living well, guests can expect top-tier amenities and activities that enhance their vacation experience.
As Hyatt continues to innovate and expand its portfolio, Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana represents a significant step in meeting the growing demand for premium, all-inclusive vacation options. The collaboration with Anacaona de Inversiones underscores Hyatt’s commitment to delivering exceptional hospitality experiences in some of the world’s most beautiful destinations.
