IAI to Show Converted Boeing 777 Freighter at Paris Air Show
Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), the largest aerospace and defense company in Israel, is set to exhibit its latest innovations for both civilian and military markets at the upcoming Paris Air Show, scheduled from June 19 to 25.
IAI’s impressive lineup of showcased products includes the Arrow defensive weapon system, designed to intercept and neutralize long-range ballistic missiles. The Barak air-defense system, offering protection against multiple aerial threats, will also be on display. Additionally, IAI will present the Heron Mk2 unmanned aerial vehicle, optimized for intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance missions. The Scorpius Electronic Warfare system, capable of disrupting enemy radars and communications, will be another highlight.
Notably, IAI will unveil its groundbreaking freighter conversion of the Boeing 777-300ER, the world’s first of its kind. This conversion involves the removal of passenger seats and installation of a cargo door, reinforced flooring, and an efficient cargo handling system. With a maximum cargo capacity of 102 tons and a range of up to 9,200 km, the converted aircraft offers enhanced capabilities for air cargo transportation.
IAI emphasizes that the Boeing 777-300ER freighter conversion is a game-changer in the air cargo market, providing superior capacity, range, and efficiency compared to other freighters. The company has already received multiple orders for this conversion from customers worldwide.
