InterContinental Hotels Group Hotels & Resorts will debut its Voco brand in India through a new deal with Satyadeo Hospitality Ltd., the company announced Wednesday.

The first property, in Uttarakhand in North India, will be dubbed Voco Jim Corbett and will be rebranded from Corbet Aamond Spa & Resort by July 2024. The move will add 100 rooms to IHG’s portfolio in India and marks the company’s seventh brand within the country.

The signing marks a move from IHG to “cater to the demand from corporate and leisure guests, who are looking to benefit from the area’s excellent road connectivity with major cities in North India to host MICE including weddings and other occasions,” according to the company.

IHG first launched Voco in 2018. It first opened in the U.S. in 2020.
