India’s NIBE Aeronautics Gains NSOP with Premier IA Jet

NIBE Aeronautics has received a non-scheduled operator’s permit (NSOP) numbered 6/2025 from India’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), marking a key step in expanding its charter aviation services. The approval follows the induction of a Beechcraft Premier IA jet into its fleet.
The newly registered aircraft, VT-VRL (msn RB-219), is a 17.8-year-old light jet configured for up to six passengers. It is currently based in Pune after being reactivated with a test flight on May 7, 2025. Previously stored at Bengaluru HAL Airport since October 2024, the jet was formerly operated by VRL Logistics from 2008 to mid-2023.
In July 2023, VRL Group restructured its aviation assets, merging VRL Logistics’ aviation division into Vijayanand Travels, which now holds a separate NSOP and operates a Gulfstream G150.
NIBE Aeronautics, a division of publicly listed NIBE Limited, offers a range of services including executive jet charters, aircraft management, aircraft sales and acquisitions, and fractional ownership. NIBE Limited operates across defence, aerospace, and electric mobility sectors and is listed on India’s National Stock Exchange (NSE).
With this new permit, NIBE Aeronautics joins a small group of NSOP holders operating Premier I and IA aircraft in India. Other operators include LCL Aviation, Pinnacle Air, Saffron Strokes Aviation, Simm Samm Airways, and Urbane Jets, each with a single aircraft of the type. NIBE’s entry strengthens India’s growing market for private and charter aviation services.
