InteleTravel Acquires Tickitto to Boost Event Travel Bookings

InteleTravel, a leading host travel agency, has acquired UK-based event ticketing platform Tickitto to expand its offerings in experience-driven travel. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Founded in 2019, Tickitto provides access to tickets for top-tier events including major league sports, concerts, Formula 1, FIFA, and local activities. The company’s API enables seamless ticket integration into travel and service platforms, allowing partners to bundle event access with accommodations and transportation.

InteleTravel said the acquisition will empower its network of over 130,000 independent travel advisors across the U.S., U.K., Caribbean, and Mexico to enhance vacation packages with exclusive event access. The company cited research showing that one in 10 travel bookings is connected to a live event, adding that these “eventcations” often drive significant additional spending.

“This partnership allows us to deliver richer experiences and greater value to our customers,” said InteleTravel CEO James Ferrara. “With Tickitto, we can now combine event tickets with travel through our supply partners and tour operator Major Travel to boost profitability for our advisors and elevate customer satisfaction.”

Tickitto will continue to operate independently under InteleTravel’s umbrella, with CEO Dana Lattouf remaining in her role. Lattouf noted that the acquisition provides Tickitto with increased resources, stronger purchasing power, and access to new supplier partnerships.

This move follows InteleTravel’s acquisition of events agency MGME in January 2024 and corporate travel network Hickory Global Partners in April 2023, underscoring its strategy to grow through experience-led travel and diversified services.
