Interim casino to be built at Neb.’s Fonner Park

Grand Island Casino Resort’s temporary facility at Fonner Park in Grand Island, Neb., will be under construction starting next month, with the venue expected to open around Thanksgiving and be in use for about two years. Construction on a permanent casino will begin in late 2023 and will include a five-story hotel and indoor/outdoor pool area.
