Israeli Airlines to Resume Paphos Flights Starting July 2025

Israeli carriers El Al, Arkia, Israir, and airHaifa are set to resume scheduled flights to Paphos, Cyprus, in early Q3 2025 after a suspension earlier this year due to unspecified security concerns.

Arkia will restart its Tel Aviv–Paphos route on July 13 with service running five times weekly, according to its booking system. Israir will also resume operations on the same day, initially with two weekly flights before ramping up to 14 weekly frequencies starting July 21.

El Al, through its leisure subsidiary Sun d’Or International Airlines, plans a limited return to the route on July 15. It has scheduled six roundtrip flights through the end of July.

Meanwhile, airHaifa will relaunch its Haifa–Paphos route on July 13 with 11 weekly flights. The airline had previously delayed this service multiple times, citing operational restrictions.

The planned resumption marks a coordinated return of Israeli carriers to Paphos following January’s abrupt suspension of service. While Israeli airlines temporarily ceased operations due to undisclosed threats, foreign carriers such as TUS Airways and BlueBird Airways continued uninterrupted service between Tel Aviv and Paphos.

According to ch-aviation data, these foreign operators have maintained regular schedules throughout the suspension. No specific details regarding the nature of the earlier security concerns have been released.

The return of Israeli airlines is expected to restore capacity on this popular short-haul route and support growing summer travel demand between Israel and Cyprus.
