Jamaica Shines with Three New AAA Four Diamond Hotels

Jamaica has emerged as a standout in the latest AAA Four Diamond awards, claiming three of the newest entries on the prestigious list. The newly recognized properties are Princess Grand Jamaica, Princess Senses The Mangrove, and Royalton Negril Resorts & Spa, further cementing the island’s reputation as a top destination for upscale accommodations in the Caribbean.

The AAA Four Diamond rating evaluates properties on the “Four Cs”: cleanliness, comfort, cuisine, and consistency. While hotels and restaurants across the U.S., Canada, and the Caribbean were included in the latest update, Jamaica was the only destination to score three new hotel entries.

The Princess Grand Jamaica and Princess Senses The Mangrove, both located in Green Island and opened in late 2024, offer two distinct luxury experiences. The family-friendly Princess Grand features an expansive layout complete with water parks, slides, and a robust activity and entertainment program. Meanwhile, the adults-only Princess Senses The Mangrove provides beachfront suites and 14 over-water bungalows for a more serene, romantic escape. Guests at both resorts enjoy access to a wide selection of restaurants and bars.

Royalton Negril Resorts & Spa also earned the Four Diamond rating, recognized for its refined amenities and upscale accommodations along one of Jamaica’s most iconic coastlines.

Beyond Jamaica, other notable additions include Gardiner House in Newport, Rhode Island—a boutique 21-room waterfront hotel praised for its elegant furnishings and distinctive Newport style—and Universal Helios Grand Hotel in Orlando, which features direct access to the upcoming Universal Epic Universe theme park.

Additional hotels receiving Four Diamond honors are Canopy by Hilton Sioux Falls Downtown in South Dakota, Intercontinental Seattle Bellevue in Washington, and StoneHaven Le Manoir in Québec, Canada.

Newly recognized Four Diamond restaurants include Atelier Tony Dieppe in New Brunswick, Fiamma in Idaho, The Wild Sage in Wyoming, and Tre Dita in Chicago. These additions contribute to the current tally of approximately 1,750 Four Diamond hotels and 500 Four Diamond restaurants across North America and the Caribbean, as maintained and updated throughout the year by AAA’s anonymous inspections.
