Japanese start-up MicroJet has secured approval from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism to begin international charter flights. Starting September 2024, the airline will operate short-haul flights to Taiwan, South Korea, and Hong Kong using its 11.77-year-old Cessna 510, registered as JA123F.

Since launching domestic charters in October last year, MicroJet aims to expand its services to meet the needs of corporate and special travel. The Cessna 510, with a cruising range of 2,161 kilometers, offers low operating costs and affordability for clients.

MicroJet’s announcement reflects its strategic push to broaden its business scope beyond Japan and cater to international markets.
