Japan’s Peach Aviation takes delivery of first A320neo
Peach Aviation (MM, Osaka Kansai) has taken delivery of its first A320-200N and plans to induct the type into revenue service on October 25, 2020. Msn 10131 was ferried from Toulouse Blagnac via Nur-Sultan Nazarbayev and Utapao to Osaka Kansai over the course of September 28-30, 2020, still under its provisional French registration F-WXAU. It is due to become JA201P. The aircraft is powered by CFM International LEAP-1A engines and seats up to 188 passengers in an all-economy cabin configuration. The low-cost carrier, which is owned by ANA – All Nippon Airways, said it plans to debut the A320neo on the Osaka Kansai-Sapporo Chitose route and subsequently use it also on services connecting Sapporo and Sendai with Okinawa Naha, as well as on international services from Osaka and Tokyo Haneda to Taipei Taoyuan. Peach Aviation currently operates thirty-one active A320-200s. The LCC plans to add a further twenty-seven A320-200Ns and six A321-200NX(LR)s, although only eight and two units, respectively, are on firm order from Airbus.
