Jeju Air’s inaugural 737-8 MAX aircraft has been sighted at Boeing’s Renton, Washington facilities, marking an exciting step towards delivery to the prominent Korean low-cost carrier.

A Twitter post revealed an image of the freshly painted aircraft, adorned in Jeju Air’s signature orange and white livery. This marks the first of 40 Boeing 737 MAX airplanes ordered by the airline back in 2018.

Originally scheduled for induction into service by the end of 2022, the airline faced delays in the delivery schedule, pushing back the entry into service by several months.

As Korea’s foremost low-cost airline and the country’s third-largest in terms of passenger traffic, Jeju Air’s current fleet consists of 39 Boeing 737-800s and one Boeing 737 freighter, maintaining an all-Boeing lineup.
