Jet2.com, the UK’s third-largest airline, continues its robust expansion with the announcement of two new bases at Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LPL) and Bournemouth Airport (BOH), bringing its total to 12 UK bases by Summer 2025. This strategic development is part of the airline’s broader effort to increase its footprint across the UK and cater to a broader audience.

Since 2019, Jet2.com has added 210 new routes, contributing to a significant increase in seat numbers compared to pre-pandemic figures. The airline now offers over 500 routes across its expanded network, reaching a catchment area that encompasses over 54 million people—approximately 75% of the UK population. The fleet has grown to over 120 aircraft, with nearly 100 more scheduled for delivery, ensuring a steady growth trajectory into the next decade.

As the UK’s premier package holiday provider, Jet2.com has garnered numerous industry accolades from organizations such as Which? and TripAdvisor, reflecting its strong market presence and customer loyalty. Remarkably, over 60% of its bookings for summer 2023 were from repeat customers, underscoring the brand’s enduring appeal.

Jet2.com’s commitment to robust partnerships is evidenced by its collaborative efforts with 80 airports and 110 tourism partners. This collaborative approach recently led to Jet2.com being honored as the winner of the Airline Category at the Routes Awards in Aarhus. Janice Mather, Head of Airports & Tourism Organizations, shared her enthusiasm about the win, emphasizing the value of recognition by their industry peers.

Sustainability remains a cornerstone of Jet2.com’s operational philosophy. The airline is taking decisive steps toward achieving a net-zero carbon footprint by 2050. These steps include the integration of new, more fuel-efficient aircraft, a greater reliance on sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), and the electrification of its owned ground service equipment.

As a proactive member of Routes 360, Jet2.com regularly updates its airline requirements and fleet information, facilitating effective collaboration and networking at Routes events. This engagement not only enhances Jet2.com’s operational capabilities but also supports the broader aviation community in optimizing route development and service delivery.
