JetBlue Airways has revealed plans to manage the new Terminal 5 at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. This development project, which commenced on October 9, 2023, will result in the creation of a state-of-the-art, two-level domestic terminal featuring five gates, complete with modern amenities for passengers and staff.

With an estimated cost of $404 million, the terminal is scheduled for completion in 2026. It will seamlessly connect to the Cypress parking garage and Terminal 4 through multi-level pedestrian bridges, providing enhanced accessibility and convenience. Upon completion, the new terminal will be capable of accommodating over 4 million passengers annually, fostering growth opportunities for both existing and new airline partners.

JetBlue Airways, currently the second-largest airline at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood Airport, serves more than 40 destinations from this location. The airline has also overseen the modernization efforts in Terminal 3, which predominantly serves as its operating base.

This terminal expansion is part of the airport’s ongoing initiative to enhance accessibility, efficiency, and the overall passenger experience. Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, catering to over 35 million passengers annually, ranks among the busiest airports in the United States and is a significant economic driver for South Florida.
