JetBlue is taking in-flight entertainment to the next level with the launch of its new seatback screen system, Blueprint by JetBlue, which introduces a host of innovative features designed to personalize the flying experience. Known for pioneering complimentary live TV and Wi-Fi across its fleet, JetBlue continues to lead with enhancements that replicate the comfort and convenience of home streaming services.

One of the standout features of Blueprint by Jetblue is the “watch party” function, allowing passengers to sync their movie or show viewing with up to five other people on the flight. This feature means no more awkward countdowns to press play at the same time—everything is synchronized automatically.

In addition to shared viewing, Blueprint by JetBlue offers personalized content recommendations, mirroring services like Netflix and Hulu. Frequent flyers will appreciate the ability to save films and shows to watch later, and even pick up where they left off on their last flight, regardless of the time elapsed between trips.

Further enhancing the customer experience, the new system saves preferred settings such as volume, language, parental controls, and closed captioning, which will be consistent across flights. Blueprint by JetBlue will also provide valuable flight connection information directly on the seatback screens, improving transitions for travelers with onward journeys.

Exclusively for passengers in Mint, JetBlue’s premium offering, the seatback screens will include an ordering feature for selecting meals right from their seats on Airbus A321LR and A321neo aircraft. This addition aims to streamline service and enhance convenience for business-class travelers.

Another personalized touch includes the ability to customize the welcome message on the seatback screen, catering to travelers who prefer to be addressed by a name other than their legal one. Celebratory graphics and complimentary offerings for special occasions like birthdays will also be part of the new system, making flights feel more tailored and festive.

Blueprint by JetBlue will roll out on jets equipped with Thales AVANT touchscreens, though it will not be available on the Airbus A321 fleet. This upgrade is part of JetBlue’s commitment to providing a superior and more individualized travel experience, leveraging technology to meet the evolving preferences of modern travelers.
