A JetBlue flight was forced to make an emergency landing in Tampa, Florida, on Thursday after the aircraft suddenly lost altitude mid-flight, leaving several passengers injured.

According to reports, the flight experienced a rapid descent that caused turbulence and panic among those onboard. Crew members immediately initiated emergency procedures, and the pilots diverted the aircraft to Tampa International Airport, where it landed safely. Medical teams were waiting on the ground to treat passengers who sustained minor injuries during the incident.

JetBlue confirmed the event and said safety remains its top priority while the cause of the altitude loss is under investigation. The airline is working with federal aviation authorities to determine what led to the midair emergency.

Passengers were later accommodated on another flight to continue their journey, as maintenance crews conducted a thorough inspection of the aircraft before it was cleared for service.
