JetBlue Airways is set to expand its Florida presence with the launch of new nonstop service from Vero Beach Regional Airport to Boston and New York starting December 11. The daily flights will mark a major milestone for the regional airport, reconnecting the Treasure Coast to two of the busiest hubs in the Northeast.

Local leaders, including the Indian River County Chamber of Commerce, say the new routes are expected to generate significant economic benefits for the community. By attracting more visitors and business travelers, the flights are likely to drive growth in tourism, hospitality, and related industries, while also providing residents with greater travel convenience.

The return of JetBlue to Vero Beach reflects growing demand in the area, which has seen steady population and tourism increases in recent years. The airline’s decision to serve both Boston Logan International Airport and New York John F. Kennedy International Airport will link Vero Beach directly with key markets that are home to a large share of seasonal residents and vacationers.

Airport officials believe the service will strengthen Vero Beach’s role as a gateway for both leisure and business travel, encouraging further regional development. For JetBlue, the addition aligns with its strategy of serving underserved markets while leveraging its strong Northeast network.

With daily flights beginning just ahead of the winter travel season, Vero Beach is positioned to see a surge in economic activity as the new routes take off, creating lasting benefits for the local economy.
