JetNetherlands (JNL, Amsterdam Schiphol) launched charter operations on behalf of CU Air on November 7, 2020, following the delivery of its first Saab 340B, PH-CUA (msn 340B-167). The 31.3-year-old Saab turboprop, previously operated by Loganair (LM, Glasgow Int’l), was delivered to Antwerp on November 4. Its first flight was a multileg trip to Épinal, Caen, and Nancy/Essey on November 7-8, 2020. The aircraft is owned by CU Air’s parent Cargo Union and will be based out of Antwerp. It is configured for up to 34 passengers. It will be operated by JetNetherlands on behalf of CU Air separately from two Embraer jets, a EMB-135LR and an EMB-145LI, which are operated under the ACE – Air Charters Europe (Antwerp) brand. JetNetherlands is owned by ASL airtaxi (BNJ, Liège), itself a unit of ASL Group. Independently of CU Air, Cargo Union is also planning to launch cargo charters in the future.
