Jetstar Launches Direct Flights to Manila and Cebu

Jetstar Airways is boosting its Australia–Philippines network with the introduction of two new direct routes: Perth to Manila and Brisbane to Cebu. The new services mark a significant expansion of the airline’s Asia-Pacific footprint, with flights set to begin using Jetstar’s next-generation Airbus A321LR aircraft.
The Perth to Manila route will operate year-round, while the Brisbane to Cebu service will be seasonal. Both routes will run three times a week, offering travelers more affordable and efficient access to the Philippines’ popular destinations. The Airbus A321LRs, known for their fuel efficiency and quieter operation, are central to Jetstar’s strategy to deliver sustainable low-cost travel.
The announcement is part of Jetstar’s broader growth push, which has included the launch or announcement of 20 new domestic and international routes since June 2024. This expansion is supported by a growing fleet of A321LR and A320neo aircraft, along with the redeployment of widebody Boeing 787 Dreamliners to longer-haul markets.
Jetstar Group CEO Stephanie Tully described the new Philippines routes as a major milestone. “The launch of low fares direct flights to the Philippines is an exciting milestone, unlocking two amazing destinations for Aussie travelers,” she said. “From the pristine beaches of Cebu to the vibrant energy of Manila, these new routes offer greater value options for an overseas holiday.”
As demand for affordable international travel continues to rise, Jetstar’s growing fleet is helping meet that need with more options and lower fares, allowing travelers to explore further without stretching their budgets.
