JetStream Group Expands Citation VI Fleet

JetStream Group has recently reallocated two Citation VI aircraft from its Hungarian air operator’s certificate to B.J. Aviation Slovenia, marking a significant milestone as the Slovenian operator introduces the Citation VI into its fleet for the first time. The two aircraft, registered as HA-SCU and HA-JEX, come with substantial operating histories, having been in service for 32.7 and 30.1 years, respectively, and are configured to accommodate up to eight passengers. HA-SCU was last seen in operation under JetStream’s ‘VTB’ code on February 16, 2025, serving a route between Vigo and Paris Le Bourget. Just a few days later, on February 20, the aircraft departed for Larnaca under B.J. Aviation Slovenia’s ‘JSD’ code, signifying its official transfer and integration into the new operator’s fleet. Meanwhile, HA-JEX had its last recorded flight under the ‘VTB’ code on February 18, 2025, operating a route from Paris Le Bourget to Budapest. It later began operations under the ‘JSD’ code on February 27 when it flew from Budapest to Belgrade Nikola Tesla, marking its seamless transition to the Slovenian certificate.
This strategic move by JetStream Group expands the capabilities of B.J. Aviation Slovenia, which was certified in late 2024. The addition of these Citation VI jets complements the operator’s current fleet, which already includes a Citation III. The expansion not only increases B.J. Aviation Slovenia’s operational flexibility but also enhances its ability to serve a broader range of charter and business aviation markets. JetStream’s own air operator’s certificate continues to support a varied fleet that includes another Citation VI along with a Citation Jet and two Citation IIIs, further emphasizing the group’s focus on maintaining a diversified and competitive fleet.
Additionally, the broader JetStream Group structure extends its reach through its third operator, B.J. Aviation, which holds a Hungarian AOC. This operator’s fleet comprises a range of Citation models, including a Citation I that has been stored at Kiskunlacháza since May 2024, a Citation XLS+, a Citation III, and another Citation VI stored at Budapest since June 2024, as well as two Citation VIIs and a King Air B200. Such a fleet composition allows the group to allocate aircraft strategically across its various certificates to meet dynamic market demands.
JetStream CEO Tibor Varga confirmed that the group intends to manage its fleet allocations efficiently across its AOC holders, noting that there are currently no plans to move additional aircraft under the Slovenian approval. This decision underscores the group’s commitment to maintaining operational stability and ensuring that each operator within the group can serve its respective markets effectively. The fleet transfers not only bolster the operational profiles of the respective operators but also reinforce the group’s overall market presence in the competitive business aviation sector, offering customers enhanced options for efficient and reliable air travel across Europe and beyond.
