Jewel to Perform on Holland America’s Alaska-Themed Parade Float

Holland America Line will make its first-ever appearance in the 99th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade with a spectacular Alaska-themed float featuring multi-platinum singer-songwriter and Alaska native Jewel.
The float and performance celebrate Holland America Line’s deep connection to Alaska, a region central to its cruise heritage for more than 75 years. “Having Jewel perform on our float is a wonderful way to celebrate both her Alaska roots and Holland America Line’s deep connection to the Great Land,” said Kacy Cole, Chief Marketing Officer of Holland America Line. “Her authenticity and artistry capture the beauty, spirit, and sense of adventure that define Alaska, and we’re thrilled to share that with millions of parade viewers around the world.”
Set against the iconic backdrop of New York City, the 99th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will take place on November 27. The event remains one of the country’s most cherished holiday traditions, entertaining millions of spectators both in person and on television. This year’s lineup includes 29 floats, 26 performers, 11 marching bands, and appearances from music stars including Busta Rhymes, Ciara, and Foreigner.
Holland America Line’s float will feature striking design elements inspired by Alaska’s glaciers, wildlife, and landscapes, as well as highlights from the cruise line’s Global Fresh Fish Program. The initiative showcases Holland America as the only cruise line certified to bring sustainable seafood directly from Alaskan fishermen to its ships.
The parade will air nationwide on NBC and stream on Peacock from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. across all time zones.
