Captain C.B. “Sully” Sullenberger

Please join us for a special event at the Annual Meeting. The Wings Club Foundation will present the Annual Outstanding Aviator Award to Captain C.B. “Sully” Sullenberger.

Captain Sullenberger has been dedicated to the pursuit of aviation safety his entire adult life. Sullenberger became internationally renowned on January 15, 2009 when he and his crew safely guided US Airways Flight 1549 to an emergency water landing in New York City’s frigid Hudson River. The landing has been called the “Miracle on the Hudson.”

The Wings Club Foundation Outstanding Aviator Award has been presented since 2010. The award recognizes airmen and airwomen for their contributions to aviation and serve as leadership role models.
