European ACMI/charter airline Jump Air has received its Type A commercial licence and is officially able to start commercial operations.

The airline, which is headquartered in Vilnius, Lithuania, received its Air Operator Certificate – number LT.AOC.037 – from Lithuania’s civil aviation regulator (Transporto Kompetencijų Agentūra) on December 31, 2021. The Type A commercial licence was the last start-up document the airline had to obtain in order to begin commercial operations.

Jump Air is now fully staffed, crewed and licenced for commercial air operations. The current fleet consists of one ATR 72-500 72-seat passenger aircraft that is now parked at Orio al Serio International Airport in Italy.

Jump Air plans to grow its fleet by two to three more ATR 72 units by the end of 2022, including an ATR 72 type freighter variant.

The airline is targeting Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and Asia- Pacific as potential markets for charter and long term wet lease operations and is now happily accepting short-term and long-term enquiries.
