Jung Sky Plans Jet Fleet Expansion Starting in 2026
Croatian private jet operator Jung Sky is set to begin a significant fleet upgrade in 2026, aiming to enhance capacity and efficiency. Co-founder and co-owner Krešimir Jung confirmed the plans in a recent interview with tportal, revealing that the company intends to replace its two existing Citation Jet 2 aircraft with larger, more modern jets.
The upgrade process is expected to unfold between 2026 and 2028, with the goal of establishing a three-jet fleet composed of more spacious and fuel-efficient models. While specific aircraft types have not yet been announced, the long-term vision includes a potential expansion to four aircraft, depending on operational demands and resource availability.
A major factor influencing the timeline is pilot recruitment. Jung noted that acquiring qualified pilots remains the main constraint. “Once we’re confident in our ability to find and hire more pilots, we’ll begin searching for a new jet,” he said.
To prepare for potential delays, Jung Sky has developed a backup strategy. If the transition to larger aircraft is postponed, the company may opt to purchase an additional Citation Jet 2. This move would allow the fleet to maintain service levels and extend the operational life of its current aircraft for up to two more years.
Jung Sky, based at Zagreb Franjo Tuđman Airport, is positioning itself for future growth in the business aviation market, with its upcoming fleet expansion marking a key step toward broader service capabilities and improved passenger comfort.
