K-Mile Asia (8K) is expanding into widebody freighter operations with the arrival of its first Boeing 767-300ER(BCF). Cargo Facts reports that SF Airlines (O3) has leased the 767 to K-Mile and will also provide a second 767.

SF Airlines operates 23 B767s as part of its 87-aircraft fleet. K-Mile, primarily serving DHL Express, plans to start using HS-KSA for revenue flights by the end of October, marking the aircraft as the only active widebody freighter on the Thai register.

K-Mile’s managing director confirmed that technical acceptance is in progress and that the second 767 is expected to be delivered next month. The airline currently operates a fleet of five narrowbody aircraft, including one 737-400(BDSF), two 737-400(SF)s, and two 737-800(BCF)s. K-Mile traditionally only acquires new aircraft when a customer commitment is in place and will consider additional non-B737 types based on specific customer needs.
