Kaz Air Jet, operating out of Almaty International, has recently broadened its fleet capabilities by initiating operations with a Bombardier Challenger 605. This marks the company’s entrance into Bombardier Business Aircraft operations, a significant expansion in its service offerings.

The aircraft, registered as UP-C6004 (msn 5733), is a 17.4-year-old jet configured to accommodate up to nine passengers. It embarked on its inaugural flight under Kaz Air Jet’s ‘KEJ’ code on January 25, 2025, flying from Gabala to Hannover. Before this, it was first active on December 14, 2024, completing a roundtrip between Almaty and an undisclosed location in Central Asia.

This Challenger 605, formerly registered in the Isle of Man as M-ALTI, has been based at Almaty International even before its transition to Kaz Air Jet’s registration. Since joining Kaz Air Jet, the jet has primarily serviced routes within Kazakhstan, and extended its reach to destinations in Russia, Europe, and the Middle East, reflecting the company’s strategy to enhance its operational footprint.

In addition to the newly added Challenger 605, Kaz Air Jet’s diverse fleet includes two Citation Jet 3s and a recently acquired Legacy 600, which collectively serve to meet a wide range of client needs. The airline also operates a Piaggio P180, two Yak-42Ds, and a variety of helicopters including the AW119, the B206, and the Mi-8T, further underscoring its capability to offer comprehensive aviation solutions across different aircraft types and service requirements.
