Our Route Opportunities feature highlights the latest unserved and underserved routes available through Routes 360, offering essential insights for airline network planners seeking to expand their reach.

In alignment with Saudi Arabia’s “Vision 2030” and the “National Transformation Program,” King Fahd International Airport (DMM) in Dammam transitioned to Dammam Airports Company (DACO) in July 2017. By 2023, DMM had welcomed around 11 million passengers and connected to 60 destinations with over 40 airline partners.

DMM is strategically focused on enhancing connectivity across Europe and Asia. Situated in Saudi Arabia’s affluent Eastern Province, the airport has garnered substantial interest from airlines and is expected to experience strong growth in the coming years. Significant investments are planned to upgrade terminal and ground facilities, further supporting this growth.

In December 2023, Air India Express launched daily direct flights from DMM to Mumbai and Hyderabad. The carrier will also introduce flights to Lucknow in March 2024 and Kannur in May 2024. Saudi low-cost carrier flynas has expanded its network from DMM, adding routes to Hail in January 2024, Al Najaf in June 2024, and five seasonal destinations: Tbilisi, Baku, Trabzon, Istanbul, and Salalah.

Additionally, Air Cairo commenced weekly flights from DMM to Alexandria in April 2024, joining Air Arabia Egypt on this route.

Recognized for its excellence, DMM was named one of the top five regional airports in the Middle East for 2024 by SkyTrax and achieved the highest score in the Departure Passenger Satisfaction Program by ACI World. These accolades reflect the airport’s commitment to high-quality service for both its community and visitors.
