Lithuania’s KlasJet (KLJ, Vilnius) has secured a significant milestone by obtaining a Foreign Air Operator’s Certificate (FAOC) in Canada. This certification enables the airline to offer its Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance (ACMI) as well as charter services within the Canadian aviation market.

“Justinas Bulka, CEO of KlasJet, expressed, “One of our main long-term strategic goals at KlasJet is to cater to a variety of regions worldwide. Being able to provide services in Canada will make us even more attractive to possible future partners.”

As part of the Avia Solutions Group, KlasJet currently operates a diverse fleet, including two B737-300s, three B737-500s, four B737-800s, and a Challenger 850. The airline is set to expand its capabilities with the addition of its first B737-800(BBJ) and has ambitious plans to grow its B737-800 fleet to eight aircraft. While the B737 Classics have traditionally served executive charters, the -800s are configured to accommodate up to 186-189 passengers and are available for ACMI and charter services, catering to passenger carriers.

This certification not only signifies KlasJet’s commitment to global expansion but also opens up new opportunities for collaboration with Canadian partners. As KlasJet continues to enhance its fleet and service offerings, the airline is poised to play a key role in meeting the growing demand for wet-lease operations in the Canadian aviation landscape. Stay tuned for further developments as KlasJet solidifies its presence in the Canadian market.”
