Korean Air has announced that, as part of the airline’s ESG activities, it has donated 500 first aid pouches upcycled from used pilot and cabin crew uniforms to Seoul Gangseo Senior Welfare Center and Incheon Yongyu Elementary School.
The kits, which include essential medicines, are funded by donations of around KRW 5 million by the airline’s employees.
Korean Air has initiated various upcycling projects and this year, the airline released metallic name tags and golf ball markers upcycled from a retired Boeing 777, as well as cosmetic pouches upcycled from retired cabin life vests.
