KW Executive Air Charter Halts Operations After Jet Retirement

KW Executive Air Charter, based in [Location not specified], has temporarily halted its executive jet charter operations after retiring its sole Citation Jet 4 Gen2 from its Part 135-certified fleet in November 2024. Manager Joseph Lamiroult confirmed to ch-aviation that the company plans to replace the retired aircraft shortly, signaling a strategic shift in the company’s fleet management.
The retired Citation Jet 4 Gen2, registered as N375GR (msn 525C-0333), was a relatively young aircraft at 4.2 years old when it was removed from KW Executive Air Charter’s fleet. Originally operating under the Part 135 certificate of KW Executive Air Charter since August, the jet has now been transferred to the charter fleet of Northern Jet Management. In its new role, N375GR will be the first Citation Jet 4 Gen2 in Northern Jet Management’s fleet, marking a significant addition for the operator.
With the retirement of the Citation Jet 4 Gen2, KW Executive Air Charter has streamlined its operations and is currently offering charter services exclusively with three Cessna 441 turboprop aircraft. This move reflects the company’s focus on maintaining a lean and efficient fleet while planning for future expansions.
Meanwhile, the newly added Citation Jet 4 Gen2 at Northern Jet Management has yet to commence operations under the ‘NJM’ code. This aircraft joins an extensive lineup of Citation-type jets in Northern Jet Management’s fleet, which includes five Citation Jet 3s, two Citation Jet 3+s, a Citation XLS, a Citation Sovereign, and two Citation Xs, alongside 17 additional jets. The integration of the Citation Jet 4 Gen2 is expected to enhance Northern Jet Management’s service capabilities and offer clients a broader range of high-performance aircraft options.
In addition to expanding its fleet, Northern Jet Management has recently completed a merger with The HeliTeam, a Part 135 operator previously trading as SpeedBird. This merger has resulted in the transfer of several aircraft to Northern Jet Management’s Part 135-certified fleet. The HeliTeam certificate now includes two Citation Jet 2s, one Challenger 605, another Challenger 605, and an Eurocopter EC130, further diversifying Northern Jet Management’s aviation portfolio.
The strategic realignment for both KW Executive Air Charter and Northern Jet Management highlights the dynamic nature of the executive jet charter industry. By optimizing their fleets and forming strategic partnerships, both companies aim to enhance their service offerings, improve operational efficiency, and better meet the evolving needs of their clientele.
As KW Executive Air Charter prepares to introduce a replacement for the retired Citation Jet 4 Gen2, industry observers anticipate continued growth and innovation within the company’s charter services. Meanwhile, Northern Jet Management’s expanded fleet and recent merger position it as a formidable player in the executive aviation market, capable of delivering a wide range of charter solutions to meet diverse passenger demands.
