LATAM Airlines Receives First A321neo and Orders 13 More
LATAM Airlines Group has welcomed its first Airbus A321-200NX, registered as PS-LBB, marking the initiation of an order for 13 additional units of the same type. The aircraft, configured to accommodate up to 224 passengers, will be operated by LATAM Airlines Brasil.
The A321neo will be initially deployed on domestic routes in Brazil, serving trunk routes before expanding to domestic flights in Chile and eventually catering to short-haul international services within South America, as per CEO Roberto Alvo’s recent statement to ch-aviation.
LATAM Airlines Group’s order book still includes eighty-seven A320neo Family aircraft, consisting of seventeen A320-200Ns and sixty A321-200NX, as well as ten A321-200NY(XLR)s. The delivery underlines LATAM’s commitment to enhancing its fleet to meet growing demand and improve operational efficiency.
