Delta Air Lines has set a new standard for airport lounges with the recent opening of its Delta One Lounge at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). This exclusive sanctuary is designed for first-class travelers and aims to elevate the airport experience, offering a luxurious retreat amidst the hustle and bustle of air travel. Spanning 10,280 square feet, the lounge showcases a chic design and an array of high-end amenities, including a glamorous bar, table-service dining, and a wellness area, making it a must-visit for discerning flyers.

Accessing the Delta One Lounge at LAX
Located in Terminal 3, the Delta One Lounge welcomes travelers daily from 4:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Access is limited to Delta One passengers, Delta 360° status members, and select partners traveling in equivalent classes on airlines such as Korean Air, AirFrance, KLM, LATAM, Virgin Atlantic, and SAS Airlines. Unlike other airport lounges, no credit cards grant access to this exclusive space, ensuring an intimate atmosphere for guests.

Luxurious Design and Layout
Accommodating around 200 guests, the Delta One Lounge features seven distinct spaces, including a cozy library with wing-back chairs, a dining area with elegant leather booths, and a stunning Icon Bar adorned with a golden ceiling and a wraparound marble bar, exuding an old Hollywood charm. The lounge also includes a landscaped outdoor terrace, offering views of the Hollywood Hills and seating for 26 guests, perfect for enjoying California’s mild climate.

The lounge decor highlights a diverse collection of art from various countries, including the U.S., the Philippines, South Africa, Haiti, and Japan, reflecting the global reach of LAX. This curated selection distinguishes the lounge from Delta’s Sky Club, which focuses on local artists.

Exceptional Food and Beverage Offerings
The dining experience at the Delta One Lounge prioritizes table service, allowing guests to enjoy a leisurely meal. In the morning, visitors can find pastries from the renowned Los Angeles bakery Sqirl, while local chocolatier Milla Chocolates provides delectable desserts in the afternoon. The menu features Los Angeles-inspired dishes, such as crispy fish tacos and street-corn pizza, alongside a made-to-order sushi bar offering classic rolls and fresh creations.

Guests can choose from three bento box options, each inspired by international flavors: the Tokyo box includes a tonkatsu sandwich, while the Paris option features beef cheek bourguignon. The Boston box is a seafood lover’s dream, boasting lobster toast and roasted lamb. The lounge also offers an impressive bar menu with signature cocktails named after airport codes, alongside a variety of nonalcoholic beverages from Verve Coffee Roasters and The Butcher’s Daughter. Most food and drink items are complimentary, with select high-end wines and cognacs available for purchase.

Wellness Amenities
Travelers seeking relaxation can take advantage of the dedicated wellness area, equipped with eight zero-gravity massage chairs and various Hyperice products. The space includes a wellness cart stocked with spa water, refreshing towelettes, and samples from Grown Alchemist. Additionally, specialized lighting aims to help combat jet lag, enhancing the pre-flight experience.

Looking Ahead
The Delta One Lounge at LAX sets a high standard for luxury airport lounges, and more are on the horizon. Delta plans to open additional lounges in Boston Logan International Airport by the end of 2024 and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport in early 2025. With its emphasis on comfort, quality dining, and wellness, the Delta One Lounge redefines the travel experience for premium passengers.
