Legal issue slams brakes on NYC pandemic hotel closure

A court filing stopped New York City’s transfer of more than 8,000 homeless people from pandemic hotels to shelters as the process was underway on Friday. The Legal Aid Society’s complaint accuses the city of violating the rights of those with disabilities in the move to end emergency use of more than 60 hotels.
