Leisure hotels draw buyers who plan to stretch seasons

New York-based EOS Investors’ purchase of the Red Jacket Resorts chain’s portfolio, five of whose six properties are on Cape Cod, Mass., is viewed by experts as a sign of heightening investor interest in leisure destinations with out-of-season potential. “As people spend more time away from the office, we think there’s real long-term opportunity for hyper-seasonal markets to be less seasonal,” says Tom Burns of EOS.
