LEVEL Airlines Expands Fleet and Launches Barcelona-Miami Route in 2024
LEVEL, the Barcelona-based long-haul airline and subsidiary of the International Airlines Group (IAG), has unveiled plans to expand its fleet with the addition of a sixth aircraft during the summer 2024 season. The airline will lease a brand-new Airbus A330-200, featuring a two-class configuration with premium economy and economy seating. As of Q1 of 2023, the airline has a fleet of Airbus A330-200, seating 314, and operated by Iberia. This strategic move will support the airline’s ongoing expansion into the intercontinental market.
LEVEL is set to launch a new route from Barcelona to Miami, commencing on March 31, 2024. Operating three times a week on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, the route will utilize the newly acquired A330-200. Flights will depart from Barcelona El Prat Airport (BCN) at 10:00 a.m., arriving at Miami International Airport (MIA) at 2:30 p.m. local time. The return flight from MIA will take off at 4:30 p.m., landing at BCN at 8:10 a.m. the following day.
This new addition marks LEVEL’s fifth destination in the United States, further complementing its existing routes from Barcelona to New York, Boston, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. Additionally, the airline operates flights to various Latin American destinations, including Buenos Aires, Santiago de Chile, and San José de Costa Rica. The expansion aims to boost connectivity and tourism between Spain and the United States, providing enhanced travel options for passengers in both markets.
LEVEL’s Chief Commercial Officer, Lucía Adrover, emphasized that the inclusion of the sixth aircraft and the introduction of the Barcelona-Miami route signify LEVEL’s dedication to connecting Barcelona with distant American destinations. Adrover also emphasized the airline’s commitment to offering competitive fares and exceptional service quality to its passengers on these routes.
