Live Like Royalty: ‘The Crown’ Super-Yacht Titania Available for Lavish Rentals

For enthusiasts of the acclaimed Netflix series “The Crown,” the chance to step into the royal narrative is now a reality. The 239-foot super-yacht featured in the show, known as Titania, is available for rent, offering a taste of luxury fit for royalty with prices starting at $615,000 per week.

While Titania may not be the main star of “The Crown,” it played a prominent role in the series’ sixth and final season, which centers on the late Princess Diana. The yacht’s significance is tied to historical events, notably Princess Diana’s time spent with Egyptian film producer Dodi al-Fayed aboard a similar vessel, Jonikal, in 1997.

In the show, scenes featuring Princess Diana (portrayed by Elizabeth Debicki) and Dodi al-Fayed (played by Khalid Abdalla) unfold aboard the yacht. Titania, portraying the role of Jonikal, became an integral part of the narrative, described as “almost a character in itself” by the Netflix publication Tudum.

According to Martin Childs, the production designer, “The whole schedule was based around the availability of the biggest yacht.”

Those eager to experience the opulence of Titania can do so through Burgess, a luxury yacht broker that facilitates buying, selling, and chartering of high-end vessels. Originally constructed in 2006 by Lürssen, Titania can accommodate up to 12 overnight guests in seven cabins, each featuring its own en suite bathroom.

The super-yacht boasts an array of amenities, including a jacuzzi with a swim-up bar, a sauna, a beauty salon, a massage room, a drop-down movie screen, and a fitness center. With a 21-person crew dedicated to each charter, guests can take advantage of water toys such as jet skis, boat tenders, sailing dinghies, paddleboards, Seabobs, kayaks, an e-Foil, surfboards, inflatable slides, jumping pads, snorkeling gear, and diving equipment.

While the show’s crew temporarily added period-specific furniture and finishes for filming, Titania typically features sleek modern decor, accentuated by dark wood and marble.

Available for summer cruises in the Mediterranean and winter cruises in the Caribbean and the Bahamas, Titania’s rates start at $639,000 in the summer and $615,000 in the winter, offering a unique opportunity for those seeking an extravagant and historically significant yachting experience.
