Locals laud Fla. hotel project that irked Congress members

A forthcoming government-owned luxury hotel whose partial funding with COVID relief funds drew fire from Congress was hailed this week by local officials in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., as a public benefit. The Omni Fort Lauderdale Hotel will be adjacent to the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center.
