Lodz Airport Central Poland recovering after the pandemic

Lodz Airport is finally back on a roll with great results in June!

It was a hard time for every airport in the world and after all of the restrictions, people are hungry for traveling. The statistics of June 2022 showed that we are on the way to recovering after the pandemic, the Lodz Airport handled 3 times more passengers than in June 2021!

On June, 8th, the Irish Carrier – Ryanair launched a summer service from Lodz to Heraklion (HER). A few days later, on June, 11th, took off the first Enter Air summer flight to the Turkish Riviera (AYT), this destination is also operated by Ryanair. In Enter Air summer schedule from LCJ, there are additional flights to Burgas (BOJ). This year we also welcomed a brand new carrier at LCJ – Smartwings, which inaugurated June 13th its first flight to Greek Island – Rhodes.

At Lodz Airport we had an opportunity to welcome for the first time Ukrainian International Airlines (UIA) with the Ukrainian national football team. Because of UEFA Nations League and Qualifying for the UEFA European U-21 Championship football matches were played in Lodz, we had also the possibility to welcome German U-21, Irish, and Armenian national football teams. Football players came to Lodz also by LOT Polish Airlines, Air Horizont, and Alliance Jet.

Moreover, on June 15th Ryanair, Europe, and Poland’s No.1 airline announced its biggest ever Winter schedule for Lodz, including 3 new Routes with over 25 weekly flights to Alicante, Brussels Charleroi, and Milan Bergamo.
