The former Loews Boston Hotel has been purchased by Electra America Hospitality Group, which plans to reopen the once highly rated property as Hotel AKA Back Bay. The 10-story, 225-room lodging opened in 1924 as the city’s police headquarters and was converted into a boutique hotel in 2004.
