London-Stansted Airport (STN) is set to brighten up the autumn season with the launch of five new routes, adding fresh travel options for passengers. The new routes, introduced by British Airways and Ryanair, will connect Stansted with a variety of exciting destinations across Europe.

British Airways, which resumed operations at Stansted earlier this year, began a new route to Split, Croatia on September 7, 2024. Operating under its regional airline BA CityFlyer, this weekly service uses an Embraer 190 aircraft. Flights will depart from Stansted every Saturday at 12:55 local time and arrive in Split in just under two and a half hours, with the return leg scheduled for the same day at 17:05.

Ryanair, known for its extensive European network, will introduce four new routes from Stansted in the coming months. Starting in October 2024, the low-cost carrier will offer twice-weekly flights to Linz, Austria, a new direct route from the UK. Ryanair already serves Klagenfurt, Salzburg, and Vienna from Stansted, making Linz a valuable addition for those seeking new seasonal getaways.

Additionally, Ryanair will launch flights to Reggio, Italy, starting in October 2024. Services will operate every Wednesday and Sunday, expanding Ryanair’s Italian destinations from Stansted.

In November 2024, Ryanair will further enhance its offerings with new routes to Dubrovnik, Croatia, and Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Dubrovnik will see flights every Wednesday and Sunday, while Sarajevo will be served three times a week—on Mondays, Fridays, and Sundays.

“We are excited to unveil these new services from London-Stansted this autumn,” said Neringa Ohrstrom, Head of Brand and Marketing at the airport. “These additions reflect our commitment to providing a diverse range of destinations for our customers, whether they’re seeking a city break, winter sun, or a cultural experience.”

London-Stansted currently offers flights to over 190 destinations across Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa, making it a key hub for travelers seeking both popular and off-the-beaten-path locations.
